The college of law strives with persistent and tireless efforts to spread legal awareness in various segments of society, believing in the role of legal awareness in building a new Iraq on democratic foundations . The college of law at the University of Baghdad attaches great importance to serving the community by meeting the existing and expected needs and requirements of society from specialized human cadres in the field of law, including lawyers, judges and consultants, and what leads and achieves the goals of university’s education at the college of law in the service of society and its development, through the integration of the theoretical picture with the practical picture of knowledge.
The college of law also interacts with its community by breaking out of its traditional role outside its walls and interacting with the community, not only through graduates. The college also interacts with the issues of society and its educational needs, and continuous guidance and consultation, through holding seminars and lectures in the field of law specialization.
The college of law also has a role in serving the local community in the legal field , through:
- Dissemination of legal culture by familiarizing citizens with their rights and duties
- College members employ the majority of their research to serve the community
The College also includes a clear message to serve the community by strengthening the measures related to community service and reactivating relations with local and regional community institutions, as well as attempts at rapprochement with the labor market, and there are in this regard many entities and units included in the structure of the college that would contribute to community service
