The discussion was held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Moot Court Hall.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">The discussion committee consisted of the following professors:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Prof. Dr. Adam Sumyan Dhiab \u2014 Chairman<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Prof. Dr. Alaa Nasser Hussein \u2014 Member<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Dr. Hussein Ali Jabbar \u2014 Member<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul-Munim Abdullah \u2014 Member and Supervisor<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">The thesis aimed to enhance the effectiveness of criminal law in safeguarding military cybersecurity and ensuring a secure military information environment. It did so by highlighting the importance of cybersecurity in maintaining national and military security, examining the legal aspects of criminal protection for cybersecurity, and addressing the specific characteristics of military cybersecurity.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">The thesis consisted of three chapters. The first chapter examined the theoretical framework of military cybersecurity. The second chapter addressed the legal framework for the criminal protection of military cybersecurity under international instruments and comparative law. The third chapter examined military cybersecurity crimes and the criminal penalties applicable to them.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">The thesis concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which were:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">First: The need to address the existing legislative gap by enacting a Cybersecurity Law that comprehensively covers all forms of cybercrime and includes specific provisions addressing offenses targeting military institutions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Second: The need for international cooperation to combat cybercrime in general and military cybercrime in particular, including accession to the 2001 Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Third: The need to establish a National Cybersecurity Authority to strengthen and advance the country\u2019s cybersecurity capabilities.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div id=\"cz_14350\" class=\"cz_grid_p cz_14350\"><div class=\"cz_grid cz_grid_1 clr cz_grid_c2
