The workshop was held by the Continuing Education Unit at the College and delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sura Harith Abdul Karim on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Graduate Students Hall.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop aimed to shed light on the manifestations of administrative corruption in educational institutions and to analyze its direct impact on weakening academic integrity, as well as the quality of education and scientific research. It also addressed its negative repercussions on the reputation of academic institutions and the standard of their outputs.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Furthermore, the workshop sought to promote the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability, while proposing practical mechanisms to reduce corruption and support the implementation of quality standards and good governance, thereby contributing to the advancement of the academic level.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop covered several key topics, including the concept of academic integrity, the definition of administrative corruption and its manifestations in higher education institutions, and the negative effects of such corruption on research quality. It also presented a set of proposals to confront this phenomenon and enhance the quality of scientific research.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

At the conclusion of the workshop, several recommendations were issued. Among the most prominent were the need to address administrative corruption at the administrative level by activating both internal and external oversight systems, and at the academic level through the adoption of plagiarism detection programs. In addition, the importance of legislative solutions was emphasized, including enacting strict anti-corruption laws and ensuring the independence of academic institutions, in order to strengthen trust in academic outputs and improve the overall standard of higher education.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
