Baghdad held a scientific seminar titled \u201cLanguage as the Student\u2019s Primary Tool\u201d, presented by Assistant Lecturer Lamia Ali Shanawa, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the College of Law building.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The seminar aimed to highlight the central role of language in building the student\u2019s academic personality and developing cognitive and communication skills, as it is considered a fundamental tool for learning, understanding, and interaction both inside and outside the university environment.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The seminar addressed several main topics, including:<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1.The importance of language in the success of the educational process.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.Developing students\u2019 constructive listening and expression skills.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3.Promoting the effective use of language in academic study and university life.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.Strengthening awareness of the importance of linguistic interaction in acquiring knowledge and building critical thinking.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The lecturer emphasized that language is not merely a means of communication, but rather the primary tool upon which students depend to achieve deeper learning, broader understanding, and more effective communication throughout their academic and professional careers.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the conclusion of the seminar, several recommendations were presented, most notably:<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1.The need for students to continuously develop their language skills.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2.Adopting constructive listening and practical application as foundations of learning.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3.Encouraging conscious and professional use of language in academic activities.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.Promoting a culture of dialogue and linguistic
