{"id":8390,"date":"2025-10-27T10:35:37","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T10:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.colaw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8390"},"modified":"2025-10-27T10:35:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T10:35:37","slug":"the-publication-of-two-new-works-by-professor-dr-musaddaq-adel-talib-on-personal-status-law-and-constitutional-judiciary-in-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.colaw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8390","title":{"rendered":"The publication of two new works by Professor Dr. Musaddaq Adel Talib on Personal Status Law and Constitutional Judiciary in Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>In the framework of scientific efforts aimed at serving society and keeping pace with the latest developments in legal sciences,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>two new academic books have recently been published by Professor Dr. Musaddaq Adel, a faculty member at the College of Law \u2013 University of Baghdad, entitled:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>1.The Personal Status Law No. (1) of 2025: A Constitutional and Sharia Perspective<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>2.Personal Status and Constitutional Judiciary in Iraq<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>The first book presents a constitutional and Sharia-based analysis of the Personal Status Law No. (1) of 2025, within the context of a comprehensive qualitative shift toward guaranteeing the freedom of the Iraqi individual to choose their personal status according to religion, sect, or personal choice, in harmony with Article (41) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq (2005).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>It also includes a study of the Islamic legal foundations of the new law\u2019s provisions, along with an objective evaluation of its legislative drafting.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>The second book focuses on the positive roles played by the Federal Supreme Court in personal status cases since its establishment in 2005, as a serious attempt to outline the trends of constitutional jurisprudence in Iraq concerning the enactment of the Personal Status Law No. (1) of 2025.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>It is expected that these two works will contribute to promoting legal and constitutional awareness and to strengthening the understanding of the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Iraqi Constitution.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the framework of scientific efforts aimed at serving society and keeping pace with the latest developments in legal sciences,\u00a0two &#8230; <a class=\"cz_readmore cz_readmore_no_icon\" href=\"https:\/\/en.colaw.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=8390\"><span>more<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":205,"featured_media":8392,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3,5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8390","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-news","category-public"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
