The College of Law \u2013 University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar titled \u201cArtificial Intelligence Crimes and Ways to Prevent Them\u201d, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Saadoun on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Model Court Hall.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udfe3 The seminar aimed to shed light on the recent transformations in the nature of crime with the expanding use of artificial intelligence technologies across various fields, highlight the legal and ethical challenges arising from this phenomenon, and review preventive, legislative, and technical measures that could reduce the risks of AI-related digital crimes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd35 The seminar covered several topics, including:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    The concept and definition of artificial intelligence crimes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Types of crimes emerging from artificial intelligence.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Legal and legislative challenges in determining criminal responsibility for these crimes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Preventive measures.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Challenges facing national and international legislators in establishing legal frameworks that keep pace with the rapid development of AI technologies.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Updating criminal legislation to cover AI-related crimes and clearly define legal responsibilities.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
