The team from the College of Law \u2013 University of Baghdad participated in the first edition of the Arab Human Rights Court Competition, organized by the Training and Development Centre for Southwest Asia and the Arab Region under the United Nations, with the participation of more than 50 Arab universities in the written memorandum phase. Eleven teams qualified from this stage to the oral advocacy phase, which was held at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, with the College of Law team among the qualifiers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The competition aims to raise awareness of human rights principles in the Arab world and to develop students\u2019 skills in legal research, drafting memoranda, and oral advocacy before a virtual court simulating litigation procedures in human rights cases.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
