The College of Law at the University of Baghdad hosted the Legal Competency Examination for the Judicial Institute for both Session 52 (Judges) and Session 53 (Public Prosecution), over two days \u2014 Friday and Saturday, October 3\u20134, 2025.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe examination witnessed a broad participation, with 1,045 applicants for the Judges\u2019 Session (52) and 1,425 applicants for the Public Prosecution Session (53). A<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
\n
ll participants undertook the legal competency test, one of the essential requirements for admission to the Judicial Institute, conducted under high-level judicial supervision.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The exam was attended by several supervising judges, including:<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Judge Najm Abdullah \u2013 Head of the Public Prosecution Office<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Judge Laith Jabr \u2013 Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Judge Khalid Al-Mashhadani \u2013 President of the Karkh Court of Appeal<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Judge Imad Khudair Al-Jabri \u2013 President of the Rusafa Court of Appeal<\/span><\/strong>
\n* Judge Jalil Adnan Khalaf \u2013 Director General of the Judicial Institute<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe College also received a visit from Professor<\/span><\/strong>
\nDr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, President of the University of Baghdad, who was welcomed by Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, Dean of the College of Law. The Dean provided an overview of the college\u2019s preparations and organizational plans to ensure the success of the examination.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe University President praised the great efforts exerted by the college administration and staff in preparing the examination halls and providing a suitable atmosphere for participants, emphasizing that the College of Law has demonstrated outstanding competence in organizing major legal events.<\/span><\/strong>
\nHosting this examination at the mother College of Law in Iraq, with its long-standing history of academic and research excellence, highlights its pivotal role in graduating generations of judges, legislators, lawyers, and legal scholars. The College continues to stand as a beacon of legal education, supporting the system of justice and strengthening the rule of law in Iraq.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
