The college of Law at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral dissertation titled \u201cJoint Fault and Its Impact on Criminalization and Punishment \u2013 A Comparative Study with Islamic Jurisprudence,\u201d submitted by the student Mayada Faraj Faleeh from the Criminal Law Department, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Model Courtroom.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Aim of the Dissertation:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    The dissertation aimed to explore the concept and nature of joint fault, including its overlap with the fault of the victim, under modern criminal policy in the field of criminalization and punishment. It sought to determine the victim\u2019s share in committing the criminal act through behavior, the severity of the crime and the criminal according to the facts presented before the criminal court, and to analyze the legal classification of these crimes based on all the elements of the crime.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
