The college\u00a0 of Law at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral dissertation titled \u201cThe Replacement of Members of the Council of Representatives and Its Impact on Parliamentary Representation in Iraq,\u201d submitted by the student Ahmed Abdullah Jawda from the Public Law , on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the conference hall of the faculty.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Aim of the Dissertation:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    The dissertation aimed to understand the philosophy and principles underlying Iraqi legislation related to the replacement of parliamentary seats under the 2005 Constitution of the Republic of Iraq and to evaluate this legislation through an analysis of constitutional and legislative texts. It also sought to shed light on the extent to which practical reality aligns with this legislation, the consistency among these principles, and to compare them with the principles of legislation in other countries on this issue.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
