The College of Law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master\u2019s thesis entitled \u201cThe Legal Disposition of Facial and Voice Prints of Artificial Intelligence Robots\u201d by the student Shurooq Saadoun Abdullah, in the Private Law Department, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in the Virtual Courtroom Hall at the college.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The discussion committee consisted of:<\/strong><\/span>
\n1. Prof. Dr. Haider Faleh Hassan (Chairman)<\/strong><\/span>
\n2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Lubna Abdul-Hussein Issa (Member)<\/strong><\/span>
\n3. Lecturer Dr. Areej Abdul-Sattar Alwan (Member)<\/strong><\/span>
\n4. Lecturer Dr. Muna Naeem Jaaz (Member and Supervisor)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The thesis aimed to shed light on defining the concept of the legal disposition of facial and voice prints, noting that no definition of this concept exists in legislation, as well as to establish the philosophical foundation for this idea, explain its rules and provisions, and determine the legal regulations governing the liability of the recipient of biometric rights when violating legal guidelines.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The thesis was divided into two chapters: the first addressed the nature of the legal disposition of facial and voice prints of AI robots, while the second discussed the legal provisions related to the disposition of these prints.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The thesis concluded with several recommendations, the most notable of which are:<\/strong><\/span>
\n1. Regulating the legal disposition discussed in the thesis under the relevant law, with an emphasis on ensuring an appropriate level of legal and technical protection for electronically processed facial and voice data.<\/strong><\/span>
\n2. Regulating the activities of using biometric data in online advertising, marketing, and in the digital environment in general.<\/strong><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
