The College of Law at the University of Baghdad held a discussion for a master\u2019s thesis titled: <\/span><\/strong>\u201cInternational Compensation Funds for Human Rights Violations\u201d <\/span><\/strong>by Shahad Hamad Matar Hassan, in the Department of International Law, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the Model Courtroom at the College.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The thesis aimed to explore the establishment of international funds designed to ensure effective compensation for victims and their families, as well as to support the financing of rehabilitation programs. The study emphasized that the state is legally obligated\u2014under its constitution and laws\u2014to guarantee protection and compensation for victims by implementing a comprehensive legal framework for reparation programs addressing all forms of harm.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The thesis was structured into three chapters:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
