On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Scientific Promotions Unit at the College of Law \u2013 University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium titled \u201cAcademic Promotion Regulations: Between Reality and Legislative Texts,\u201d<\/em> held at the college’s Model Court Hall. The symposium was presented by Dr. Ali Jumaa Abd and Lecturer Roaa Talib Dawood.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of the symposium was to shed light on the gap between the Academic Promotion Regulations No. (167) of 2017 and the practical reality. It highlighted that certain requirements are requested in promotion applications despite not being explicitly stated in the regulations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the symposium, the presenters recommended adhering strictly to the provisions of Academic Promotion Regulations No. (167) of 2017 and avoiding interpretations or practices that contradict these regulations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
