The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Law \u2013 University of Baghdad, organized a workshop on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, titled “Explanation of the Student Discipline Law,” presented by Dr. Mohammed Ahmad Issa, a college member in the Private Law.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students about the provisions of the regulations and behaviours they are prohibited from engaging in, highlighting the legal framework governing the relationship between students and college staff, as well as the interactions between students themselves, in addition to their relationship with college property and physical assets. The workshop also provided a detailed explanation of the disciplinary penalties that students may face, along with mechanisms for challenging them.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop covered several key topics, including:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Clarifying the fundamental provisions of the Student Discipline Regulations.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The legal guarantees afforded to students under these regulations.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The process for making decisions within Student Discipline Committees.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The workshop concluded with several recommendations, the most prominent of which were:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The inclusion of the Student Discipline Regulations as an elective course, particularly in the first year.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. \n

      A clear and detailed explanation of the penalty mechanism for students who damage college property, in alignment with the legal responsibilities of students.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
