The Public Law at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop on Monday, February 3, 2025, titled “The Principles and Characteristics of Academic Writing,” presented by faculty member Asst.lect. Tabarak Ali Qasim, held at the college building.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to highlight the fundamental features of academic writing and its scientific standards to ensure the quality of research that researchers wish to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop covered five main topics, which included:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The concept of academic writing.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The purpose of academic writing.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The importance of academic writing.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. The characteristics and features of academic writing.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. The principles and components of academic writing.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The workshop concluded with several important recommendations, most notably the need to raise awareness among researchers, both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members wishing to publish their research, about the importance of adhering to academic writing standards and applying them in their research to ensure the quality of the scientific content and its acceptance in peer-reviewed journals.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
