Within the activities of the counseling week, the psychological counseling and educational guidance unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (The role of counseling in dealing with psychological stress), the session was chaired by the head of the teaching unit in the Criminal Law (Asst.Lect. Zainab Rizouqi Shamakh and delivered by Dr. Hussam Yassin Ali) from the Center for educational and psychological research at the University of Baghdad, in the presence of lecturers, staff and students of the College, on Monday, 25\/11\/2024 to the conference hall at the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar aimed at achieving psychological and social adaptation, helping individuals adapt to the pressures of daily life, providing support to individuals to address the challenges they face in their lives, enhancing the feeling of happiness and satisfaction, achieving psychological balance, helping individuals realize their potential and developing their skills.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which are:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1 – providing psychological support: listening to students’ problems and helping them cope with psychological stresses resulting from study or personal life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2-enhancing self-confidence: encouraging students to exploit their talents and abilities and working to build their self-confidence.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

3-dealing with social issues: helping students to face social problems such as adapting to the university environment or resolving conflicts with peers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
