The Criminal Law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a seminar entitled (therapeutic measures in the law of narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances) delivered by the teaching staff at the Criminal Law (Dr. Nasser Hussein), on Thursday, 26\/9\/2024 in the building of the college of law.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar was aimed at the category of addicts who use drugs and Psychotropic Substances for the purpose of their integration into society and their return as individuals in it instead of punishment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which is we recommend adding community service measures in addition to these measures, for example, working for the public benefit, such as cleaning roads and parks, caring for the elderly and orphans, or working in the same health institutions to treat addicts as a free service, we recommend that the application is also given by his family wife, children, brothers or parents, we recommend that the health cadres who detect a person’s addiction be given to refer him to the competent committee stipulated by this law or also have the right to submit the application in addition to his family.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
