The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (emotional separation between spouses and its impact on the marriage contract), the session was chaired by the assistant dean for Scientific Affairs (Dr. Jalil Hassan al-Saadi) and the lecturer in the private law (Dr. Hamid Sultan Ali), and in the presence of lecturers, staff and students of the College, on Tuesday, 30\/4\/2024 at the conference hall at the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar included several topics, including the statement of the concept of emotional separation between spouses, the reasons for emotional separation, the theories that were said in justifying the case of emotional separation from a psychological point of view, the impact of emotional separation in the marriage contract in the Iraqi Personal Status Law.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which are the legislation of special texts related to the Prohibition of violence in all its forms within the family, legislation of special texts related to determining the concept of male guardianship over women and the limits of this guardianship, legislation of special texts related to the criminalization of underage marriage after it as one of the important reasons affecting the stability of married life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
