The private law at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar entitled (The impact of the arbitration agreement on third parties). The session was chaired by (Dr. Ali mutashir Abdul Sahib) and the lecturer in the private law (Dr. Nisren Ghanem Hanoun), on Sunday, 2024\/03\/17 at the conference hall at the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar aims that the extension of the effect of the arbitration agreement to third parties is very important, as the extension focuses on the obligation of a third party to the agreement along with one of the parties to the original contract .<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar came up with several recommendations, the most important of which is the recommendation of the parties to the contractual relationship, especially international ones, at the time of the making the arbitration agreement, that their will be clear and explicit about the extent of fairness of the arbitration effect to the parties to the relationship or to others, inviting the Iraqi legislator to pay attention to the issue of extending the arbitration agreement to others of great importance by laying general foundations that enable the arbitrator or judge to guide during dispute resolution.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
