The college of law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the public law of the student (Asmaa Iyad Obaid), entitled with(The legal organization of the administration specialized in urban planning and its role in reducing desertification in Iraqi legislation \u2013 a comparative study), on Thursday, 2024\/02\/22 at the conference hall at the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The thesis aims to explain the administration concerned with urban planning and its role in reducing the spread of desertification by explaining and knowing the meaning of urban planning, its importance, its legal nature, its role in reducing this negative phenomenon and knowing the preventive and therapeutic means of the administration to enable it to perform its tasks and achieve the desired goal in Iraqi law.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first chapter dealt with the concept of urban planning, the second chapter dealt with the competent authority for urban planning and its legal basis in the comparative and Iraqi law, while the third chapter dealt with the means of the administration specialized in urban planning to reduce desertification and the restrictions contained in the comparative and Iraqi law .<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The thesis came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is to speed up the legislation of the urban planning law in Iraq, similar to the existing legislation in comparative countries, while working to issue new and updated legislation, the Iraqi legislator called for the need to find a legal text specifying the entity concerned with the approval of the basic designs, with the administration.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
