The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Samer Saadoun Aboud, head of the Criminal Law Department, and was attended by a number of faculty members at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Criminal Law Department in the College.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar aims to utilize deepfake techniques and distinguish real videos from fake ones, as this technology has rapidly spread with the ongoing advancement. The investment in these technologies has reached approximately 200 million dollars in 2022.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar covered several topics, including the concept of deepfakes, the dangers and effects of deepfakes, the mechanism of deepfakes, and the treatments and solutions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar concluded with several recommendations, including the importance of awareness and education, refraining from sharing images on social media, being cautious of any circulating video and verifying its authenticity before sharing it, recognizing the dangers of deepfakes, and the need to develop legislation that aligns with scientific progress.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
