The College of Law at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis in the criminal law branch of the student Abdul Karim Adnan Ashraf, tagged (international criminal protection for people of unknown parentage – a comparative study), on Tuesday 15\/8\/2023 in the standard courtroom in the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The discussion committee consisted of, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassouni Jassim, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Yasser Muhammad Abdullah, member, Assistant Prof. Dr. Mustafa Salem Abd, member, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Nasser Hussein, member and supervisor.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This thesis aims to point out that the criminal protection available in international treaties and national laws for a person of unknown parentage is generally for all individuals, but without giving any advantage or privacy to a person of unknown parentage, and this represents a weakness in the criminal protection available to them and does not suit their social status, as it is necessary to enact a special law It guarantees their rights to people of unknown parentage and provides them with legal, social and criminal protection.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The thesis also included three chapters, the first of which dealt with the concept of unknown parentage and criminal protection, and the second chapter dealt with images of the most important crimes affecting persons of unknown parentage, while the third chapter dealt with criminal protection mechanisms for people of unknown parentage.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
