The College of Law Council is the supreme authority in the college. It holds its meetings periodically, in addition to the possibility of holding extraordinary meetings and important issues and developments.
Functions of the College Council
- Study and review legal academic projects and activities inside or outside the college that are referred to it, and make appropriate decisions in this regard.
- Study and discuss the reports, proposals and recommendations submitted by the scientific branches and committees in preparation for their approval in accordance with the instructions, controls and powers.
- Draw strategic plans for the college with the general directives of the university. Including planning of student admission and determining the number of students admitted annually in (postgraduate studies) and (graduate studied).
- Develop scientific and academic cooperation policies with other institutions; With regard to academic affairs, scientific research and community service, within the framework of the regulations and instructions regulating this.
- The Council also discusses any other tasks assigned to it by the Dean of the College.
- The Council may host faculty members to discuss proposals that enhance academic or legal work, and the Council may also host officials of administrative and scientific formations and units in the college to consider problems and find appropriate solutions.
- The College Council adopts the appropriate means that documents the minutes of the sessions, and the (Secretary of the Council) prepares minutes of the decisions and recommendations reached by the Council, to present them to the Dean of the College in preparation for sending it to the University Council for approval.
