The College of Law – University of Baghdad launched a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting the elderly, which involved distributing food baskets to residents of a nursing home in the Al-Sulaikh area, as part of promoting the values of social solidarity and volunteer work.

The initiative included the provision of essential food items such as rice, eggs, and other basic necessities. These supplies were delivered to the elderly care home affiliated with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, with the aim of helping meet the residents’ needs and bringing joy to their lives.

The initiative also featured a field visit by a number of the college’s faculty members to the care home, where they observed the residents’ conditions and offered moral support. This step reflects the college’s commitment to strengthening its social and humanitarian role alongside its academic mission.

This initiative is part of a series of humanitarian activities carried out by the college, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of giving and solidarity with vulnerable groups, as well as enhancing the spirit of social responsibility within the university community.
