The Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad / College of Law organized a scientific workshop on Monday, 23 February 2026, at the Model Court Hall entitled:
“The Effectiveness of the Bologna Process in Humanities Studies – The College of Law as a Model.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hiba Nima Mansour.
The workshop aimed to open discussion and dialogue about the mechanisms used in implementing the Bologna Process in humanities studies and to explore ways to enhance the success of this experience in line with the requirements of developing the educational process. It also focused on developing students’ learning skills in a way that meets labor market needs.
The workshop included an analytical presentation of the main challenges facing the implementation of the program, highlighting the importance of balancing theoretical and practical aspects in curricula, as well as the need to develop assessment tools and measure learning outcomes.
Recommendations of the Workshop:
1.The necessity of establishing a legal framework that defines the rights and duties of students and faculty members within the new learning program.
2.Revising curricula to match labor market requirements and achieve a balance between theoretical and practical aspects.
3.Monitoring academic performance and learning achievements through the creation of specialized electronic platforms.
4.Reducing teaching workload to allow more effective individual student assessment.
5.Developing quality assurance and academic accreditation standards in line with internationally recognized criteria.
This workshop comes within the framework of the College’s efforts to develop its educational environment and enhance the quality of its academic outcomes in line with global developments in higher education systems.
