Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, Dean of the College of Law – University of Baghdad, participated as a member of the examination committee for the PhD dissertation submitted by researcher Ahmed Othman Fahim Hassan, entitled “Constitutional Protection of the Right to Social Justice.” The defense was held on 9 December 2025 at the Faculty of Law – Mansoura University, Arab Republic of Egypt.

The defense session was chaired by Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University and Professor of Public Law, with the membership of Professor Dr. Walid Al-Shennawy, Dean of the Faculty of Law – Mansoura University and Professor of Public Law. The session was attended by faculty members and postgraduate students, in addition to a number of State Council advisers, lawyers, and judges. It is worth noting that the researcher holds the position of adviser in the State Council.

The session included a presentation of the dissertation chapters and a discussion of its scholarly and legal themes, with a focus on constitutional frameworks guaranteeing social justice and the legislative foundations that enhance its application within Arab legal systems.

Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya praised the scholarly effort invested in preparing the dissertation, emphasizing its importance in advancing constitutional studies. He noted that research on issues of social justice represents a vital research trajectory that requires in-depth analysis and continuous development in light of contemporary challenges.

The Dean’s participation in this defense comes within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between the College of Law – University of Baghdad and the Faculty of Law – Mansoura University, contributing to the expansion of research partnerships and the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.
