The College of Law at the University of Baghdad announces the organization of its scientific conference entitled: “The System of Sharia Codes and and Its Role in Regulating Legal Family Provisions” in collaboration with the College of Law at Al-Nahrain University and the College of Law and Political Science at Imam Jaʿfar al-Sadiq University. The conference will be held over two days, March 29–30, 2026, in the halls of the College of Law – University of Baghdad, with the participation of an elite group of researchers, academics, and specialists in legal and Sharia related fields. This academic gathering will focus on highlighting the jurisprudential and legal dimensions of the system of Sharīʿa-based codifications and its role in developing family legislation and regulating legal provisions pertaining to the family. It will also address contemporary challenges facing legislators and present scholarly perspectives that contribute to the advancement of the legislative framework. The College of Law invites researchers, professors, and all those interested in legal scholarship to take part in the scientific sessions of the conference, consult the brochure for details on the thematic axes and participation requirements, and contribute to enriching the specialized discussions and research tracks of the conference
