The Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, participated in the fifth open session of the University Council, held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf, President of the University, and attended by council members to discuss a number of administrative and academic matters related to enhancing institutional performance across the university’s departments, foremost among them the digital transformation project.
The council issued several directives aimed at improving the efficiency of university services and following up on the progress of the digital transformation project. The Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq, was assigned to form a specialized committee to assess the status of internal networks and internet services within the university’s departments and to submit its recommendations within one month of its establishment.
The council also directed the University’s Computer Center to coordinate with information technology units in the colleges to regulate the provision of internet service in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, ensuring high-quality continuity of service to meet the needs of the educational and administrative process.
In the same context, the council emphasized the importance of providing suitable conditions for students and monitoring the situation of residents in the dormitories through field visits and submitting related reports to the University Council, in addition to discussing other issues listed on the agenda.
This activity comes within the framework of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 concerning quality education and Goal 17 related to partnerships for achieving the goals.
