Within the framework of international scientific cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah Al-Hilali, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad, has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Qaed Hadi Dahesh, Head of the Criminal Law, has been appointed as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Third International Scientific Conference on Drugs and Psychotropic Substances: The Reality of Legislative, Judicial, and Security Responses to Their Challenges, which will be held in Tripoli, Libya, from November 25 to 28, 2025, under the theme:
“Towards Developing and Modernizing Legislative, Judicial, and Security Mechanisms of Confrontation.”
The conference is organized by the High Institute of the Judiciary in Libya, in academic partnership with Zintan University, with participation from the College of Law – University of Baghdad as an international academic partner. It is an accredited international scientific conference registered with the Libyan National Authority for Scientific Research and serves as an important platform for exchanging expertise and perspectives among academic and research institutions concerned with combating drugs and psychotropic substances.
The selection of the representatives from the College of Law – University of Baghdad reflects recognition of their scientific standing, academic expertise, and distinguished research contributions in the legal field, as well as their notable efforts in developing legal education and promoting scientific research.
This participation represents an important step that affirms the College of Law – University of Baghdad’s active international presence and embodies its continuous pursuit of enhancing Arab and international academic cooperation in addressing contemporary legal and societal challenges.
