Our college continues the campaign of maintenance and rehabilitation of buildings, halls and gardens since the beginning of July / 2022 in preparation for attendance for the academic year 2022/2023, under the direct guidance of the Honorable Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Attia.
On Thursday, 10/27/2022, a lecturer in the public law branch in our college, Assistant Professor Dr. Saba Noman Rashid, participated in the International Labor Organization conference entitled (Social Security Systems in the Private and Public Sectors and Labor Protection), which was held on the grounds of the American University.
The college invited its graduate students for the academic year 2021/2022 to review the Student Activities Unit to receive graduation robes in order to participate in the central graduation ceremony that will be held at the University of Baghdad, on Thursday 11/10/2022 at the stadiums of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Al-Jadriya, as our college participated in The central celebration of the University of Baghdad on the occasion of the graduation of university students tagged (With science, homelands are built) for the academic year 2021-2022, which was held on the playgrounds of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the President of the University, university leaders, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. (Ali Hadi Al-Hilali) and a group of faculty members at the college to share with our students the joy of their graduation on Thursday 11/10/2022.
At the celebration, the first students of the Faculty of Law were honored, as their first colleagues at the university’s faculties, as a kind of encouraging students to excel and raise their scientific and educational level, which qualifies them and our universities to catch up with scientific progress.
In the interest of the Deanship of our college to preserve the basic record of the college and its ancient history, and in cooperation and coordination with the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, the shrine has supported the master’s record according to the latest specifications and with guarantees that preserve this record from damage or extinction for a period of a century, and the representative of the shrine re-delivered it To the Honorable Dean (Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali), on Monday, January 31, 2022.
On Monday, 11/14/2022, our college participated in the ping- pong tournament, which won first place in the tournament, in which the fourth-stage student, Abdullah Qahtan, participated and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Hazem Muhammad Ali, responsible for the student activities unit in the college, which was held on the courts of the College of Nursing. Within the curriculum of student activities in the Adhamiya complex.
The qualifiers for this tournament came after our team met in the first match with the team of the College of Dentistry, and the match was decided in favor of our college with a score of (2-0), which qualified us to the second match against the nursing team, which ended in favor of our college with a score of (2-0), and in the final match they met Our team is with the Canadian team, and the result was in favor of our college to end (2-0), and with this we achieved the first place at the Al-Waziriya Complex in table tennis, and medals and the championship cup were distributed by the committee supervising the management of the matches.
The respected Dean, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Attia, also valued the efforts of the Student Activities Officer, Assistant Professor Hazem Muhammad Ali, and the student Abdullah Qahtan for winning the championship, wishing the students to make more efforts for the victory of our ancient college.
In addition to the exceptional and individual efforts, the Sports Activities Unit, represented by the unit’s official, A.M. Hazem Muhammad Ali planned and organized the college stadium and prepared the necessary supplies in preparation for the establishment and reception of the university championship (Adhamiya Complex) in volleyball for students.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Attia, valued this achievement and considered it an example to follow in the sense of responsibility, initiative and dedication in accomplishing the work. The official of the Sports Unit said that what we have done is a step for the College to regain its leading role in embracing various sporting events for our students To ensure the crystallization of creativity and creative thinking in various fields
And under the auspices of the Dean of the College (Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali), our college held a workshop entitled (Domestic Violence against Women, Its Causes and How to Address It) on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 11-22-2022, in which Dr. (Noria Hanfeesh Muhammad) and Dr. (Rabab Khalil Ibrahim) lectured.
On the morning of Thursday corresponding to 11/24/2022, and under the auspices of the respected Dean of the Faculty (Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali), the old alumni forum (the nineties decade) was held in the halls of the college in the presence of many graduates of the Faculty of Law currently working in various government agencies, trade unions and others.
The forum included carrying out many activities, including honoring a number of college employees, and refreshing the memory of the college’s founding and the events that developed during it.
The attendees at the forum expressed their pride in the college, as it was the basis of their practical life, hoping that the current college students would be inspired by these feelings from them, hoping that the college administration and teaching staff would continue to give scientific service to the college.
On Thursday 11/17/2022, our college celebrated its founding date in 1908, remembering the first pioneering professors, former college administrations, and thousands of students who held important positions in judicial institutions, state ministries, the legislative authority, and others.
The ceremony was attended by a representative of the University of Baghdad, commissioned by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a number of college deans, the Iraqi Bar Association, the head of the Iraqi Jurists Union, and a number of advisors in the House of Representatives and pioneer professors.
The celebration also included honoring a number of pioneering professors, first students and professors who obtained scientific titles in 2022.
And on Sunday, 11/20/2022, a master’s thesis was discussed in the Public Law branch of the student Saif Karim Jassim, tagged with (Modern Judicial Trends in Law).
