On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, which falls on the 21st of September each year, the College of Law – University of Baghdad reaffirms its commitment to spreading the values of peace and human coexistence, and to strengthening the principles of justice and the rule of law, as they constitute the solid foundation for building a stable and prosperous society.
This day serves as a reminder to the world of the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue, rejecting violence, and respecting human rights, for peace is a noble goal pursued by nations and peoples, and it represents the true guarantee for achieving sustainable development and protecting future generations.
The College’s Dean emphasizes that the mission of law is in harmony with the essence of the mission of peace, since law is the tool that protects rights, guarantees justice, and serves as the path to reinforcing security and stability. On this occasion, the College renews its call for spreading the spirit of tolerance, cooperation, and joint action for the sake of a safe Iraq marked by harmony and peace
