On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, observed annually on the twenty-first of September, the College of Law – University of Baghdad reaffirms its commitment to promoting the values of peace and human coexistence and to strengthening the principles of justice and the rule of law as the solid foundation for building a stable and prosperous society.
This day serves as a reminder to the world of the importance of fostering a culture of dialogue, rejecting violence, and respecting human rights. Peace stands as a noble goal pursued by nations and peoples alike, and it remains the true guarantee for achieving sustainable development and safeguarding future generations.
The college’s dean emphasises that the mission of law aligns with the essence of peace: law is the instrument that protects rights and ensures justice, and it is the path toward consolidating security and stability. On this occasion, the college renews its call to spread the spirit of tolerance, cooperation, and joint action in pursuit of a safe Iraq characterised by harmony and peace.
