In a Celebratory Atmosphere, the Dean of the College of Law – University of Baghdad Honors the Team Qualified for the Finals of the 2025 Arab Human Rights Moot Court Competition
In a festive ceremony reflecting pride in student achievements, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali, Dean of the College of Law – University of Baghdad, honored today the college team that qualified for the final round of the first edition of the Arab Human Rights Moot Court Competition – 2025, organized by the United Nations Centre for Training and Documentation in Human Rights for South-West Asia and the Arab Region, and scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, this coming October.
Dean Al-Hilali emphasized that this honoring comes in recognition of the outstanding efforts made by the team in representing the college in an exemplary manner. He noted that this achievement reflects the academic excellence and leadership position of the College of Law – University of Baghdad at both the Arab and international levels, and reinforces its mission to prepare a generation of legal professionals with both academic competence and practical skills to serve society and advocate for human rights.
He further affirmed the college’s ongoing commitment to supporting the team through specialized training programs and by providing the necessary academic environment to enable them to compete strongly in the finals. He expressed his wishes for their continued success and for achieving results that befit the name of Baghdad University and its College of Law.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean distributed certificates of appreciation to the participating students and their supervising professor, in an atmosphere filled with pride and admiration. He stressed that this success represents an important step toward strengthening the college’s presence in international academic arenas and showcasing the potential of its students on a wider scale.
