The College of Law at the University of Baghdad, under the auspices of the Dean of the College (Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali), held a workshop entitled (Domestic violence against women, its causes and how to address it) on Tuesday morning, 11/22-2022, in which Dr. (Nuriya Hanfeesh Muhammad) and Dr. (Dr. Rabab Khalil Ibrahim) lectured.
This activity is part of the 16-day campaign to eliminate violence against women.
Many recommendations and proposals necessary to empower women have been put forward, including removing psychological and other causes of violence and treating them according to contemporary methods that exacerbate this phenomenon, as well as the need to expedite the adoption of the draft law on protection from domestic violence within an integrated protection for the husband, wife and child in a manner that ensures the preservation of religious, moral and national values For the Iraqi family in accordance with Article 29 of the Constitution. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty, staff and students of the college.
