In an atmosphere filled with respect and appreciation, the College of Law at the University of Baghdad organized a special honoring ceremony today, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for Assistant Professor Dr. Khalis Nafi’ Ameen, on the occasion of his retirement after a rich academic and professional career marked by dedication and contribution.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, colleagues, and admirers, who expressed their deep respect and gratitude for his noble character and the significant scientific and educational efforts he made in the field of legal education.

Dr. Khalis was known for his academic integrity, scholarly humility, and noble humanitarian spirit. Throughout his years of service, he embodied dedication, discipline, and a strong commitment to advancing the university environment. His excellence greatly enriched the academic journey of the college.

During the ceremony, several colleagues delivered heartfelt speeches expressing their admiration and appreciation for his legacy, which they described as a defining chapter in the college’s history. Commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation were presented to him as tokens of love, gratitude, and recognition.

As the College of Law bids farewell to one of its most loyal pillars, it affirms that the impact of scholars on their students and colleagues is everlasting—that true giving does not end with the conclusion of service but continues as long as future generations learn and thrive.
