Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law – University of Baghdad Holds Workshop on “Student Academic Assessment and Test Design in Universities”
On Monday, May 12, 2025, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law – University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Student Academic Assessment and Test Design in Universities”, presented by Asst. Lecturer Eman Hussam Hatim, with the attendance of several college members.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of measuring intended learning outcomes and ensuring fairness and objectivity in academic assessment. It covered several key topics, including:
- Academic and cognitive achievement
- Development of practical skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
At the conclusion of the workshop, several important recommendations were made, most notably:
- Aligning assessment mechanisms with targeted learning outcomes
- Diversifying the tools and methods of evaluation
- Ensuring transparency and fairness in student performance assessment
- Providing constructive feedback to help improve student performance
- Utilizing modern technology in assessment processes
- Training college members on the latest academic assessment methods
This workshop is part of a series of academic activities aimed at enhancing the quality of university education and improving academic performance efficiency.
