The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law – University of Baghdad held a scientific workshop on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, titled “University Life Skills.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hiba Neama Mansour and took place in the college’s Model Courtroom.

The workshop aimed to shed light on essential skills that contribute to enhancing the quality of university education and fostering positive interaction between college members and students—especially postgraduate students—by equipping them with practical and applicable skills that support the academic environment and improve its outcomes.

The workshop addressed several key topics, including:

  1. Interactive skills, such as active learning and collaborative or group learning.

  2. Communication skills that enhance the mutual understanding of academic and educational messages among the different educational parties.

  3. Methods for improving the quality of higher education, including digital tools and modern technologies.

  4. Data analysis and its role in making educational decisions based on accurate indicators.

  5. Using visual diagrams to set goals and solve problems in a practical and effective manner.

The workshop concluded with several important recommendations, most notably:

  1. Encouraging the use of PowerPoint presentations in lectures, given their effectiveness in delivering academic content in a clear and engaging way.

  2. Adopting new mechanisms for evaluating faculty performance through the Quality Assurance Department’s adoption of strategic plans that incorporate modern scientific teaching methods.

  3. Activating the role of computer centres in educational institutions by addressing technical issues and providing a supportive digital learning environment.
