Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, the college held the Second Student Conference for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals on the morning of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, under the slogan “Let’s Make Our Iraq Green,” at the college’s conference hall.

The conference was organized in collaboration with the College’s Sustainable Development Committee and the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division. It was dedicated to discussing graduation research projects focused on topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Salem Abd, Head of the Public Law, and Professor Dr. Ban Salah Abdul Qadir, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division.

The conference highlighted the importance of sustainable development as an approach that balances meeting the needs of the present with preserving the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It emphasized the economic, social, and environmental dimensions, aiming to achieve social justice, reduce poverty, and protect natural resources.

At the conclusion of the conference, Assistant Professor Dr. Harith Ali Ibrahim, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, distributed certificates of participation to the student participants, followed by a group photo session to document the conference events.
