As part of the implementation of the operational plan of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division for the academic year 2024–2025, the College of Law – University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar titled “An Introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals,” in collaboration with the International Law, on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in the college’s Model Court Hall.

The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ban Salah Abdulqadir, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, while the seminar lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Salem Abd, Head of the International Law.

The seminar addressed the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as fundamental pillars for achieving quality and ensuring the continuity of institutional performance in the best possible manner—serving the present while securing a better future for coming generations. Special attention was given to the 17 goals launched by the United Nations, particularly those related to environmental protection and preservation.

This event is part of the college’s efforts to promote academic awareness of sustainable development concepts and to integrate them into the institutional quality framework.
