The College of Law at the University of Baghdad participated in judging the 11th edition of the Arab Moot Court Competition, organized by Sultan Qaboos University – represented by the College of Law – in cooperation with the Kuwait International Law School. The competition was held from April 14 to 16, 2025, with broad participation from across the Arab world.
Representing the College on the judging panel were Professor Dr. Hadi Naim Khalaf and Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Salem Abd, Head of the International Law Department. They joined a distinguished group of Arab legal experts in evaluating the students’ advocacy presentations.
The preliminary rounds saw participation from 46 universities and colleges representing 15 Arab countries. From these, 19 teams qualified for the in-person finals hosted by Sultan Qaboos University, with a total of 95 students taking part.
This competition serves as a leading academic platform aimed at enhancing students’ legal and research skills, developing their personalities, and strengthening their abilities in advocacy and legal analysis—all within a constructive and competitive academic environment that brings together top Arab law schools.
The participation of the University of Baghdad’s College of Law underscores its distinguished academic standing and the extensive expertise of its faculty members in international law and the adjudication of regional and international legal competitions.
