As Part of Strengthening Scientific Cooperation: The College of Law Holds a Specialized Lecture on the Practical Applications of Legislative Drafting

In line with efforts to enhance academic cooperation and the exchange of scholarly expertise, the College of Law at the University of Baghdad held a specialized academic lecture entitled “Practical Applications of Legislative Drafting” on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The lecture took place in one of the college’s classrooms and was attended by first-year and fourth-year students.

The lecture featured guest speaker Dr. Hassan Ali Al-Budairi, Head of the Legislative Drafting Department at the Iraqi Council of Representatives. Dr. Al-Budairi delivered a comprehensive presentation addressing the practical aspects of legislative drafting. He also highlighted the major challenges faced by lawmakers and emphasized the importance of precision and clarity in the formulation of legal texts.

This event is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College to develop students’ legal skills and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of legislation, thereby deepening students’ understanding of the legislative drafting profession.

The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Al-Budairi for his valuable contribution, reaffirming the College’s commitment to continuing the organization of academic activities that promote institutional and scholarly collaboration.
