The College of Law at the University of Baghdad was officially honoured by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research after it ranked first in the Iraqi university classification for 2024 in its field of specialization, surpassing both its counterparts in public and private universities.
On Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025, during an official ceremony held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh, Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, presented a certificate of excellence to the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, in the presence of several academic and administrative figures.
This achievement is a culmination of the College’s efforts to establish academic quality standards, alongside the dedication of its administrative and teaching staff to elevate the level of university performance, in alignment with the competitive scientific demands at both the local and international levels.
The College of Law at the University of Baghdad is considered one of the oldest academic institutions specializing in legal sciences in Iraq and the region. For decades, it has contributed to the preparation of distinguished legal professionals who have played a pivotal role in the development of state institutions and the establishment of the rule of law.
