The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “The Impact of Social Factors on Suicide Among Young People,” presented by the Asst.lect. Haneen Farouh Saleh, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the College of Law building.

🟣 The workshop highlighted the extent of suicide among young people and its significance to society, reviewing the social factors that influence it, including family upbringing, economic pressures, bullying, social media, and academic and societal pressures. It also addressed early warning signs that can help identify individuals at risk.

🟠 The seminar emphasized the role of the family and community in providing a supportive environment, the importance of psychological awareness and support in educational institutions, as well as enhancing coping skills and mental health among young people. It also discussed the role of official bodies and non-governmental organizations in providing assistance and reducing this phenomenon.
