As part of international cooperation and knowledge exchange, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad hosted Professor Dr. Amal Al-Jubouri from the University of London – School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) on March 6, 2025. She delivered a scientific lecture in the college’s conference hall on academic publishing in global repositories and research citations.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, the Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Harith Ali Ibrahim, heads of departments, college members, and post-graduate students. Dr. Al-Jubouri discussed the importance of knowledge as an integrated series of additions and updates. She emphasized the necessity for researchers to complete these series and not solely rely on artificial intelligence, but to benefit from research methodologies, particularly the experimental approach. She also highlighted the importance of formulating research questions when selecting topics, accurately defining scientific issues, and keeping up with legislation and its amendments, as well as focusing on academic legal translation.
At the end of the seminar, a discussion and Q&A session was opened, where attendees interacted by presenting their ideas and scientific queries. The Dean of the College presented Professor Dr. Amal Al-Jubouri with a certificate of appreciation, expressing gratitude for her visit and recognizing her efforts and contributions in enriching scientific research and supporting the scientific journey and the service of knowledge.
