The Continuing Education Unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop on February 27, 2025, titled “Mobile Banks,” presented by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Issa, with the attendance of several college members and staff of the college.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness among attendees about the concept of mobile banks, a growing topic that has gained increasing attention. It sought to clarify the mechanisms of using mobile banking and remove any ambiguity surrounding the concept, in addition to preparing those interested in conducting in-depth studies or research on the topic.

The workshop covered several important points, including:

  1. The definition and basic concept of mobile banks.
  2. The history of their emergence and global spread.
  3. The reasons behind their emergence and key features.
  4. The challenges and issues faced by this system.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including:

  1. Supporting the necessary infrastructure for adopting mobile banks in the banking sector.
  2. Issuing appropriate legislation to regulate this field and ensure the security of financial transactions.
  3. Introducing an elective course in the curriculum to familiarize students with the basic concepts of mobile banks and how to use them through their various platforms.

The workshop saw positive interaction from the attendees, reflecting the importance of the topic and the necessity of highlighting it to keep up with developments in the digital banking sector.
