“Under the patronage of the Dean of the college of Law, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, and under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Students, Professor Dr. Jalil Hassan Bashat, the Continuing Education Unit at the college of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled ‘Digital Transformation of E-Government in Iraq.’
The workshop was held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the college’s halls and was presented by the Assistant lecturer Hiba Naama Mansour. The workshop aimed to highlight the benefits and services provided by digital transformation, in addition to discussing the main challenges faced by e-government in Iraq.
The workshop covered several topics, including:
- Mechanisms for enhancing digital transformation in Iraq.
- E-government initiatives for digital transformation.
- Challenges facing e-government towards digital development.
The workshop concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which were:
- Enhancing the foundations of the digital economy to achieve a fundamental transformation in digital technological infrastructure.
- Adopting digital creativity and innovation in education through launching a digital literacy program.
- Empowering citizens to fully benefit from digital transformation by providing advanced electronic services in public facilities and investments.
The workshop reflected the Faculty of Law at the University of Baghdad’s commitment to developing digital knowledge and enhancing the role of technology in improving government performance and the services provided to society.”
