As part of its efforts to enhance the practical and applied aspects of learning and education, and to develop its outcomes in line with the demands of the labor market, the College of Law held a meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council, with the participation of a select group of academics and legal experts.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiya, Dean of the College of Law, and attended by:

  • Prof. Dr. Jalil Hassan Bashat, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taghreed Mohammed Qadouri, Head of the Public Law Department
  • Prof. Dr. Ban Salah Abdul Qader, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division
  • Mr. Hazem Mohammed Nasser Al-Ridini, Representative of the Strategic Center for Human Rights in Iraq
  • Mr. Mohammed Nouri Ali, Al-Tamimi & Partners Legal Consultancy

The meeting discussed ways to develop the curriculum to enhance students’ practical skills and the means of cooperation between the college and various legal institutions to ensure the graduation of qualified professionals who meet market needs. It was also emphasized that the partnership between the college and the labor market is essential in developing curricula and teaching methods to ensure the quality of legal education and raise the level of graduates.
