The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop on Sunday, February 2, 2025, titled “The Relationship Between Positive Thinking and Mental Health,” presented by faculty member Asst.lect. Haneen Saleh Farouh, at the college building.
The workshop aimed to highlight the mutual impact between positive thinking and mental health, and their role in enhancing quality of life. It also sought to provide participants with practical methods to develop positive thinking, which contributes to improving mental and physical health, reducing levels of stress and anxiety, and increasing the ability to cope with the pressures of daily life.
The workshop included several key topics, including:
- An introduction to positive thinking and mental health.
- Defining positive thinking and its importance.
- The concept of mental health and its components.
- The benefits of positive thinking on mental and physical health.
- The factors that hinder positive thinking and how to overcome them.
At the end of the workshop, several recommendations were made, most notably the importance of enhancing the skill of positive thinking, given its crucial role in supporting mental health, promoting psychological resilience, and improving quality of life. The recommendations also emphasized the significance of daily practice and training to acquire and apply this skill in various aspects of life.
