The college of Law team at the University of Baghdad achieved a remarkable accomplishment by advancing to the Round of 32 from a rally of 154 participating teams in the Riyadh International Commercial Arbitration Competition, organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration via the ZOOM platform.

Team’s Progress in the Competition:

  • Round of 154 (January 25, 2025):
    University of Baghdad (representing the respondent) vs. Helwan University – Egypt (representing the claimant).
  • Round of 154 (January 26, 2025):
    University of Baghdad (representing the claimant) vs. Beni Suef University – Egypt (representing the respondent).
  • Round of 64 (January 28, 2025):
    University of Baghdad (representing the claimant) vs. University of Bahrain – Bahrain (representing the respondent).
  • Round of 64 (January 29, 2025):
    University of Baghdad (representing the respondent) vs. Birzeit University – Palestine.

Qualification for the Final Rounds in Riyadh: The team successfully navigated the initial rounds, outperforming 154 universities and 924 students, and advanced to the final rounds, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
