  • The Dean of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad and a member of the Board of Trustees of the House of Wisdom, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, participated in the 19th Scientific and 6th International Conference organized by the Iraqi House of Wisdom, Department of Linguistic and Translation Studies, under the title “From the School of Gundishapur to the House of Wisdom: Translators and Syriac Scholars as Builders of Islamic Golden Age Civilization and the Renaissance of Europe,” which was held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the House of Wisdom conference hall.
  • The Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, conducted an inspection tour of the College of Law at the University of Baghdad. He was welcomed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, accompanied by the Academic Assistant, Prof. Dr. Jalil Hassan Bashat, and the Administrative Assistant, Asst.       • Under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ensaaf, and the Women’s Affairs Division, the National Center of Excellence for Cancer Research, in collaboration with the College of Law, organized an awareness seminar titled “The Impact of Cancer on Family Building.” The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Kawakib Najm al-Din Abdullah, Director of the National Center of Excellence for Cancer Research, on November 27, 2024. The seminar was attended by several female faculty members, employees, and students at the college’s conference hall.
      • The Criminal Law Department at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of Society in Combating Drug Crimes,” delivered by faculty member in the Criminal Law Department, Professor Dr. Kazem Abdullah Hussein, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the College of Law building.
      • Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Al-Hilali, Dean of the College of Law, University of Baghdad, and in commemoration of the “16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women,” the Women’s Affairs Division at our college organized a scientific and educational seminar titled “Violence Against Women: Sexual Harassment as a Model.” The seminar was delivered by faculty member in the Criminal Law Department, Lecturer Russul Khaled Ibrahim, in the presence of faculty members, employees, and students of the college, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Model Court Hall.
      • Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ali Hadi Atiyah, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Media and Governmental Communication Division at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness seminar titled “Registration of Small Arms for Citizens and the Purchase of Medium Arms.” The session was chaired by faculty member in the Criminal Law Department, Professor Dr. Kazem Abdullah Al-Shammari, and delivered by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mansour Ali Sultan.       • As part of the academic and scientific cooperation between the College of Law, University of Baghdad, and governmental institutions and civil organizations, Lecturer Dr. Sura Harith Abdul Karim, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law and Political Systems, participated in the 7th round of the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development workshop titled “The Relationship Between the Legislative and Executive Powers and Its Impact on the Nature of the Political System,” held at the Coral Palace Hotel on December 15, 2024, under the patronage of the Iraqi Parliament. The workshop included discussions and suggestions to enrich the topic with contributions from constitutional law professors from Iraqi universities and legal advisers in the Parliament.
      • As part of the academic cooperation between the College of Law, University of Baghdad, and academic and scientific institutions, and in response to an invitation from the House of Wisdom, Department of Political and Strategic Studies, Lecturer Dr. Sura Harith Abdul Karim, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law and Political Systems, attended the scientific seminar titled “Governance and the Decision-Making Process” held at the House of Wisdom on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She contributed to the seminar with her research paper titled “The Impact of Governance on Shaping Legislative Policies.” The seminar was attended by several professors and academics who enriched the event with their discussions and remarks.
      • Lecturer and Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, and Deputy Head of the National Council for the Accreditation of Law School Programs, Professor Dr. Ban Salah Abdul Qader, participated in the second central workshop for the accreditation of law school programs, held at the College of Law, University of Al-Mishraq.

      • The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, held a workshop titled “Electronic Trading: Pros and Cons,” delivered by faculty member in the Public Law Department, Lecturer Hiba Naama Mansour. The workshop, attended by first-year students, was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the College of Law building.
      • The College of Law, University of Baghdad, held a scientific workshop titled “Enhancing Scientific Research Using Mendeley: Managing Citations and References,” delivered by Lecturer Eman Hussam Hatim, in collaboration with the Ibn Sina Unit for Post-Graduate Students as part of the Research Skills Development Program for postgraduate students, on Saturday, December 17, 2024.
      • The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Law, University of Baghdad, held a workshop titled “University Student Behavior According to the Student Discipline Regulations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.” The session was chaired by Lecturer in Criminal Law, Dr. Zainab Rizouqi Shamik, and delivered by faculty member in the Public Law Department, Dr. Rabab Khalil Ibrahim, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Model Court Hall.
      • Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Quality Assurance and Government Accreditation Department, and as part of the work of the National Council for the Accreditation of Law School Programs, the College of Law, University of Baghdad, organized on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the college’s conference hall, a central workshop to introduce the program accreditation requirements for law schools and departments in Iraqi universities, under the title “Procedures and Requirements for Applying for Program Accreditation for Law Schools.”
